Mike Tyson Opens His Second Amsterdam Coffeeshop at Nieuwmarkt

Mike Tyson's cannabis brand keeps growing in Amsterdam. Tyson 2.0 now has a second coffeeshop in the city, at Nieuwmarkt, and the boxer himself came back to town this year for the official opening celebration. Here is what we have been able to confirm, with sources, since this is a fast-moving story we had not covered yet.
A second Tyson 2.0 coffeeshop, this time at Nieuwmarkt
Amsterdam's cannabis map has a new Tyson 2.0 address: Nieuwmarkt 14, right on the historic market square. The venue was previously Coffeeshop Greenhouse Experience and was rebranded under the Tyson 2.0 name as part of the brand's expansion across Europe, according to Soft Secrets, CNNBS.nl and De Tevreden Rookster. It is the brand's second coffeeshop in the city, after the original Tyson 2.0 on Spuistraat, which we covered in our full guide to the Spuistraat coffeeshop.
Mike Tyson back in Amsterdam for the opening
Tyson came to Amsterdam on 9 June 2026 for the Nieuwmarkt coffeeshop's official opening celebration, drawing a crowd of fans hoping for a photo or a handshake, as AT5 and NH Nieuws reported from the scene. One visitor told AT5 Tyson even gave her a hug. He also stopped by two canal boats at the nearby Oosterdok that are set to run cannabis-friendly tours under his name, per the same reports.
From Spuistraat to a growing European footprint
The original Tyson 2.0 coffeeshop opened at Spuistraat 222 in March 2023, with Tyson hosting an official opening that September for what was then his first physical venture into the European cannabis market, according to nltimes.nl and Forbes. The Nieuwmarkt opening shows the brand is not slowing down: Tyson 2.0 also opened its first cannabis social club in Marbella, Spain, this year, with Barcelona reportedly next, according to CNNBS.nl.
Also in Tyson news: a Supreme collaboration pulled
In unrelated news this week, Supreme pulled a hoodie from its collaboration with designer Martine Rose that featured Tyson's image, after the brand swapped the Israeli flag for a Palestinian one in a vintage design Tyson's team says it approved with the original flag. Tyson's legal team called the change a breach of contract, according to Rolling Stone and Complex. We will leave that story to others and get back to Amsterdam.
If you are not flying to Amsterdam
Tyson 2.0's coffeeshops sell cannabis flower under Dutch rules, open only to adults with valid ID. If you are shopping for CBD rather than planning a trip, our own CBD Flower Mix and CBD Hash Royal are a legal, THC-free way to explore good flower and hash from home, wherever you are in the EU.
